* Roomier than most midsize crossovers and more sensible (for many) than a full-size SUV, the comfortable, versatile and refined Outlook is a great family car. Source: KBB.com

  • Awesome Vehicle

I am sickened by the way this vehicle has lost so much value since we purchased it in 2007. it is a great vehicle and still fully supported by General Motors. I even still get all the notices and vehicle updates in a Saturn envelope printed on Saturn letterhead. I bought this truck because of it's safety record and the price compared to the other similar GM products. I wish Saturn was still around as I am looking for a more practical car now that our children are grown, but I will drive this one until the wheels fall off and that works for me also.

First, Saturn made great cars. The Outlook is great for us. My only issues are with some of the interior materials. The buttons for the environmental's started to lose their coatings, so not sure if it was surface prep or just poor paint/coating quality. As far as mechanical items, there were some issues, but they were all recall items. The water pump failed but they replaced it. They extended the warranty on the drive train in case the wave plate fails. The interior is still in good shape. The paint is good where we haven't run into things to scratch it up. no real issues and we have had it from Colorado to Florida to the Northeast. Blizzards, hurricanes, etc. Just changed the brake pads and rotors. That means we got over 100 THOUSAND MILES out of them.

I had no intention of buying an SUV this big...until I drove it. It is as quiet as my Cadilac Deville I just got rid of, and nearly as smooth. I absolutely love the car. BUT...do not be fooled by the EPA milage rating. My Outlook gets about 14 MPG in city driving and MAYBE 20 on the highway, that is if I am really wrorking to get good milage. When gas goes to $4.00 a gallon again...I am sure I shall miss my Deville that averaged 26 on the highway.
